Privacy Policy
Effective date: September 30, 2026
Overview
This Privacy Policy explains how Wild and Precious End of Life Services (“Wild & Precious,” “I,” or “me”) handles information collected through wildandprecious.org and correspondence related to a website inquiry.
This policy concerns the website and initial inquiries. It does not describe every aspect of information handling during an ongoing doula engagement. Any additional arrangements for client records or sharing information connected with your care will be discussed separately.
Information you share
You can browse the website without completing a form or providing your name. If you choose to use the contact form, it asks for your first name, last name, email address, and a message about why you are reaching out. I also receive information you choose to include when following up by email, phone or text. The form does not request medical records or a health history, but a message may contain health information if you choose to include it.
Please share only what is needed to begin a conversation. Avoid sending medical records, detailed health histories, or sensitive information about another person through the contact form. You are welcome to ask how best to discuss personal circumstances before sharing more.
How your information is used
I use inquiry information to respond to you, discuss the support you are looking for, arrange a conversation, and maintain correspondence related to your request. It may also be used where necessary to meet applicable legal obligations or protect the security of the website.
I do not use analytics tools, advertising pixels, email newsletters or online booking tools on this website.
Website hosting and cookies
The website is hosted on Wix. Wix may process technical information such as an IP address, browser or device information, and information about website activity to operate, secure and maintain its platform. Wix also uses cookies for purposes such as security, stability and site operation. This is separate from my use of optional analytics or advertising tools.
You can manage or block cookies through your browser settings. Disabling some cookies may affect website functions. Information about Wix’s practices is available in its Privacy Policy and its guidance on cookies.
For questions about website privacy or browser privacy preferences, contact jessica@wildandprecious.org.
When information may be shared
I do not use health details from website inquiries for marketing or share them with other care providers without your permission, except where a legal or safety basis described below applies. If you choose to include health information in a message, Wix and communications providers may process that message as needed to store or deliver it. Wix is the website hosting provider.
Information may also be disclosed when required by law or a valid legal process, or when reasonably necessary to address fraud, security concerns, or threats to a person’s safety.
I do not sell or rent inquiry information or disclose it to others for their own marketing. Before sharing personal details with another care provider for a referral, I obtain your permission unless another legal basis applies.
How long information is kept
Inquiry information is kept for the time reasonably needed to respond, complete any follow-up you request, and meet applicable legal or recordkeeping obligations. Information that is no longer needed is deleted or de-identified, subject to applicable obligations and provider backup processes.
If an inquiry leads to an ongoing care relationship, relevant information may become part of the records for that engagement. Form responses may remain in Wix’s submissions records and related communications until they are deleted. This policy does not promise automatic deletion after a response or after a fixed number of days. You can request deletion by emailing jessica@wildandprecious.org.
Security and sensitive information
No internet transmission or storage method can be guaranteed completely secure. Please avoid including sensitive medical details in a website inquiry and ask about an appropriate way to discuss them.
The contact form is an inquiry tool, not a clinical records portal or an emergency service. If you need immediate emergency assistance, contact the appropriate emergency service.
Your choices and privacy requests
You may contact me at jessica@wildandprecious.org to ask what information I hold about you, request a correction, or request deletion. You can also use this address for questions about this policy.
I will review requests in light of the information held and applicable law. I may need to verify your identity before providing or changing information, and some information may need to be retained where permitted or required by law. Please do not send identification documents with an initial request.
You do not have to submit a website inquiry to browse the site. Any additional legal rights depend on the laws that apply to your circumstances.
Children’s privacy
This website is intended for adults seeking information about end-of-life support. It is not directed to children under 13, and I do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 13. If you believe a child has submitted personal information, please contact me so I can review it and take appropriate action.
Other websites
The site may link to resources operated by other organizations. Those sites have their own privacy practices. Please read their policies before providing personal information.
Changes to this policy
Updates will be posted on this page with a revised effective date. Where applicable law requires additional notice of a material change, that notice will be provided. Please review this page periodically.
